Analysis: After reviewing my intial areas of strengths, I did notice some changes.

I realize that not all of my areas of growth were changed; nevertheless,  I will continue working to improve in those areas. I am overall proud that one of my areas of growth became one of my strengths at the end of this year. Teaching virtually was no easy task, especially not special education. However, I was able to create instruction that was engaging, accessible and achievable by all students. This included learning new platforms such as jamboard, flipgrid, nearpod and many others.  I learned through trial and error and by listening to the feedback of my students as well. They were very vocal on what they enjoyed and what they did not enjoy.  It has been an interesting year and I have enjoyed listening to my students about how they want to show what they know when it is done virtually. I look forward to taking many of these resources and using them in a regular classroom setting next year.

Reflection: My long term professional growth goal is to design instruction that facilitates higher order thinking and engages students with different learning needs. This year, despite the changes in the field of education, I can confidently say I have been working toward that goal. Through training opportunities and learning and adapting from mistakes I did my best to create instruction that allowed students to be active participants in their education. I realize that there is more work that needs to be done in this area but I am overall proud of the work I did this year and of the growth my students have made during this difficult year.
